MMT is used for doping of ZnSe nanocrystals. MMT is a reactant for aldol addition reactions, preparation of homo- and heteronuclear mixed biscarbene complexes with conjugated bithiophene units and molecular fragmentation using shaped femtosecond laser pulses.
